Officers responded to a report of a burglary in the 2700 block of Egypt Road on Wednesday.

According to Lower Providence Police, authorities are investigating a report of a burglary in the 2700 block of Egypt Road on April 17.
Officers responded to the scene that Wednesday evening and spoke with the homeowner, who showed them a glass-paned door on the southwest side of the home that had been forced open. The door had splintering around the knob and lock, suggesting that it had been kicked in. There was also evidence that someone had gone through drawers in the home. The owner said the damage must have occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. that day.
Taken from the home was an Apple Macbook laptop and an undisclosed amount of cash.
