Headed for the Silver Screen? LP Residents Can Get A Discount
Lower Providence Township's Parks and Rec department offers up savings for township residents.

Are you thinking of heading to the theater? No matter where you are headed, the Lower Providence Parks and Recreation Department can likely get you there cheaper.
Many residents of the township flock to one of three hot spots when they are longing for a flick. The ever-popular Movie Tavern, located in Collegeville's Providence Town Center, is one of the top locations.
Offering up food and drink while you watch, all served by waitstaff during the flick, many like hitting up Movie Tavern to see the latest blockbusters. Tickets here, depending on the time of day and age of viewer. Typical adult tickets are $9.50 here.

Those that prefer to head to Regal theaters have two more options. Oaks Stadium 24, located in the 422 Office Complex along Egypt Road, and the Plymouth Meeting 10, just off of Ridge Pike in Conshohocken, are both located within a short driving distance, too.
If you are off to a Regal theater, you can snatch a ticket from the Township for just $7.50. Tickets at Regal movies can range from $8.50 for children and seniors to $11.50 for adults, marking a solid $1 to $4 discount for township residents that plan ahead.
The extra savings comes with some extra red tape, but could be worth it for a night out.
"Regal Entertainment Group tickets are not valid during the first 12 days of 'selected' new release films," explains the Lower Providence Township Parks and Recreation website. " A $1.50 upgrade fee may be paid at the box office for admission to restricted films."
Regal Entertainment Group tickets do not expire. Residents may choose to stock up on some, and save them for, say, a rainy day.Â
Remember the rules, of course. Movie tickets can be purchased at the Township Administration Building, Monday through Friday during office hours only. The township accepts cash, Visa or MasterCard only. No checks, refunds or exchanges will be made.
