Metallica's Concert To Air At Montgomery Co. Drive-In Theater

OAKS, PA — As drive-in movies increase in popularity, concerts are taking a cue, with a national "Encore Drive-In Nights" event taking place later this month.

The one-night only event will feature Metallica performing a concert to be aired at hundreds of drive-ins around the United States and Canada, including at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks.

It will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, and will air at the Cinema Pop Ups drive-in there at 8:30 p.m.

"Shot especially for this one-night-only event, the band's first show of 2020 will go down as one of the most unique and memorable METALLICA experiences of all time," the event description reads."The event will also include a special guest performance by Three Days Grace.

The band Three Days Grace will play a special guest performance.

The concert will be filmed at a "secret location" in northern California, according to the New York Post.

The Encore Drive-In series has already featured artists like Gwen Stefani earlier this year.
