Methacton High School art students currently are showcasing their work at the 26th-annual juried “Touch the Future” art show, which was open from Feb. 15 to March 14 at Arcadia University in Glenside.
The annual exhibition consists of artwork from public high schools in Bucks and Montgomery counties, and features artwork of every creative medium.
According to an article on Lower Providence Patch, the Mideastern Region of the Pennsylvania State Education Association (MER/PSEA) and the Council for the Advancement of Public Schools (CAPS) sponsors the art show, which began as a way to honor Christa McAuliffe, “the first teacher in space, who perished aboard the space Shuttle Challenger. McAuliffe’s motto was, ‘I touch the future … I teach.’”
