Need Your Nails Done? Do Nails in Eagleville Does Them Right

Your favorite Patch editor has a wedding to attend this weekend and after a harsh winter of covering traffic accidents, fires all manner of outdoor activities, my hands are a bit worse for wear – or they were.

Yesterday I put out a call on Facebook asking readers to make a recommendation for a great place to get a manicure. More than three dozen people responded and while the debate raged, one salon emerged a winner – Do Nails in Eagleville.

The salon at 2807 West Main Street didn't disappoint. As reader Jill Spector Kozol wrote:

"...Do Nails is fabulous. Doesn't look like much on the outside, being between Pizza Hut and Chinese takeout, but it's like a relaxation paradise inside."

Kozol wasn't wrong. Once through the door, customers are met with relaxing music and sweet smells – not the usual overwhelming odor of chemicals. My $15 manicure was not only affordable, but quick and worth every penny. The service even included a hot stone back massage.

With the warmer weather right around the corner, it'll be time for a pedicure soon enough. I'll have to check out the second most recommended salon, Solar Nails & Spa in Audubon for that.
