New Esports Tour, Competition, Festival Coming To Montco
The "Game Together Tour" will also feature a cosplay contest, flag football, 3 on 3 basketball, live music, and more.
OAKS, PA — A national esports competition and festival is coming to Montgomery County this summer.
The Game Together Tour will be held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks on Aug. 25 through 29.
“The Valley Forge Sports Commission the VFTCB are beyond thrilled to welcome this exciting event to Montgomery County, PA,” Jon Scheuren, Director of Sports with the Valley Forge Tourism Convention Board, said in a statement. “With so much space and parking, the Expo Center is an ideal venue for the tour, and the booming esports industry is a perfect fit with Montco’s existing innovation.”

Esports competitions will be held in 10 different games, with separate middle school, high school, and college tournaments.
Beyond the gaming, there will also be a cosplay contest, flag football, 3 on 3 basketball, live music, a "music meets gaming" stage, seminars on gaming, and more.

The newly launched Tour will celebrate its inaugural event when it comes to Oaks this summer.
Montgomery County is home to the 2019 World Fortnite champion, and an esports facility and community center has been proposed in Norristown.
