New Tech Company Gets Site Plan Approval from Supervisors

Data-storage company Xand is planning a new data center in the Park Pointe business park.

According to The Times Herald, Xand, a tech firm specializing in data storage located in Park Pointe at Lower Providence business park got approval at Thursday's Lower Providence Board of Supervisors' meeting for the final site plans for renovations to their current home at 1000 Adams Avenue.

The new data center would reportedly include an additional one-story building to house emergency generators and backup battery system as well as infrastructure improvements to the existing three-story building. Construction should begin this month.
