PAW Supports Area Firefighters
Pennsylvania American Water recently provided a $1,000 contribution to the Fallen Firefighters Memorial improvement fund.
On the grounds of the Montgomery County Fire Academy in Plymouth Township stands a memorial to local firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice and died in the line of duty. The memorial was erected in 1994 thanks to donations from the county’s fire departments and supporting organizations.Â
Today, the memorial is without space for any additional names.
"While we hope and pray that this need will never arise, we realize the unfortunate likelihood that names will have to be added in the future," said John Kelly, chairman of the Fire Advisory Board.
