Police: Eagleville Man's Reported DUI Auto Crash Sends Motorist to Hospital

Pennsylvania State Police report that the Eagleville man failed field sobriety tests.

Pennsylvania State Police reported that a severe auto accident, which occurred on Dec. 1, was caused by an apparently impaired driver from Eagleville.

The report states that at approximately 1 a.m., a 23-year-old male from Eagleville, travelled southbound on Bridge Road in Skippack Township, where he failed to negotiate a right curve in the roadway, causing the vehicle to strike another vehicle in the northbound lane.

The Eagleville man’s vehicle traveled off the roadway into a ditch, whereas the struck vehicle was pushed across the southbound lane.

The report further describes the second vehicle as having its entire front portion impacted in the crash, leaving that vehicle severely damaged.

The second vehicle’s driver, a 34-year-old female from Lansdale, was injured in the crash, and transported by Skippack Ambulance to Einstein Hospital for treatment.

The Eagleville man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests. Charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance, as well as related traffic offenses, have been made against the Eagleville man

Both drivers were reported to have worn their seat belts.
