Say Hello to My (Not So) Little Friend

Last week, Patch visited the Collegeville Italian Bakery, at 3846 West Ridge Pike in Collegeville, for a story about a fond farewell for one of their longtime employees. While I was there, I was introduced to the Giovanni – a pile of fresh chicken cutlets, broccoli rabe, imported provolone cheese and roasted peppers on one of the bakery's fresh rolls. I've been dreaming about it ever since. 

Owner Steve Carcarey recommended it when I asked what his greatest creation was. He wasn't wrong. Swing by and try it for yourself – Giovanni won't disappoint.
