Second Racoon Tests Positive For Rabies In Lower Providence
Another racoon has tested positive for rabies in Lower Providence Township.
LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — A second racoon has tested positive for rabies in Lower Providence Township, officials confirmed.
The rabid animal was located on the 200 block of Collegeville Road. It's the same location where a racoon tested positive for rabies in early May.
Health officials urge any residents who may have been bitten or scratched by a racoon or had saliva exposure to seek out medical attention.

"If you, someone in your household, or any of your pets have possibly had contact with a skunk or any other stray or wild animal, immediately call," police said in a statement.
