Ursinus Field Hockey Coach Performs with String Ensemble
Coach Janelle Benner will put down her stick and pick up a bow to perform as a violin soloist on Saturday, April 6.

According to a release from Ursinus College, the school's string ensemble will perform on Saturday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Bomberger Auditorium with a special guest violinist.
Ursinus Field Hockey team coach Janelle Benner will solo in J.S. Bach’s Concerto for Violin in A minor. The student chamber group, the Ursa Major Quartet, will also perform Mozart’s String Quartet No. 21 in D Major. Faculty member Garrett Hope will conduct. The performance is free and open to the public.
Benner earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with a focus in violin performance from Old Dominion University and a Master of Education from Cabrini College. While at Old Dominion, she was the concertmaster of the Old Dominion Symphony Orchestra and first chair violinist of the Diehn String Quartet. She also taught music in the Manheim Central School District.
