Vacant Properties Burglarized of Copper Pipes
Lower Providence Police are warning property owners and other residents to be alert of suspicious activity in their neighborhood.

According to the Lower Providence Police Department, two vacant properties in the township have been burglarized in the last few weeks.Â
Authorities say the alleged thieves entered houses on Lantern Lane and Moyer Road and removed copper pipes from the basements of each house.Â
Police are asking residents to be alert of suspicious activity in their neighborhood, especially in the area of vacant houses, and to not hesitate to report such activity to authorities.

The Lower Providence Police Department also conducts vacation and vacant home checks for residents who request the service. On request, an officer will check the designated property at least once a day. Residents who would like to request a vacation or vacant home check can call 610-539-5901. Residents must call prior to leaving and provide police with the pertinent information.
