2013 Great Valley HS Graduate, State Champion Sprinter, Dies At 22

MALVERN, PA -- Jeffrey Adam Quinn, 22 years old, of Paoli, PA passed away peacefully on August 25, 2016 at Paoli Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving extended family.

He was a 2013 graduate of Great Valley High School where he was an honor student, member of the soccer team and as an accomplished track sprinter, he participated in Great Valley’s 2013 relay team that went to the state championship.

Growing up at St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church in Malvern, Jeff served as an acolyte and was a member of the youth group with which he traveled during summers on Mission Trips. Jeff attended The Pennsylvania State University in State College where he was studying accounting.

He took a hiatus during his junior year of college to fight a leukemia diagnosis. He was courageous and strong during his battle and had endured seven months of successful chemotherapy treatments when he suddenly succumbed to a complication. Jeff had a passion for World Cup and Premier League Soccer.

He also loved spending time with his cousins during the summer in Ocean City NJ. Jeff was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Harry and Alice Quinn of Willingboro NJ, and a cousin Eileen Quinn.

He is survived by his parents, Michael Quinn and Jill Quinn, brother Matthew Quinn, sister Hailey Quinn, maternal grandparents George and Jacquelyn Kennedy of Holicong PA and his many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be held Monday, August 29 at 10:00 am at St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church in Malvern, PA. Interment at the church will follow the service. Memorials in Jeff’s name may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org).
