2019 Malvern Christmas On King: What You Need To Know
Don't miss music, dancing, carols, hot chocolate, cookies, and of course Santa Claus Saturday on King Street in Malvern.
MALVERN, PA — For another season, Malvern Borough is inviting the public to its Christmastime celebration, Christmas on King.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at various locations on King Street in Malvern.
Attendees will enjoy lots of activities, food and drink, music, dancing, carols, and much more.

- 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Make a Gingerbread House at the Malvern Bible Chapel!
- TICKETS ARE REQUIRED! They are available at the National Bank of Malvern, $10 per child. All proceeds are donated to the Malvern Library. Limited availability, first come, first served.
- Noon to 8 p.m.
- The Christmas Cheer Fest Brew Lounge will be open in the Municipal Lot next to Wolfe’s Baldwin Brass in the Yard Bar. Malvern’s own Locust Lane Brewery will be your host. Stop in for a refreshment.
- Noon to 4:30 p.m.
- The DJ will be in the Christmas Cheer Fest Brew Lounge and the Inflatable Snow Globe will be in Burke Park
- Noon to 4 p.m.
- 2 p.m.
- Welcome the Big Guy to Malvern! Santa Claus is making an early arrival to greet the kids throughout the day. You’ll find him on his cozy chair in Gallagher’s lot, or wandering the streets!
- Gallagher’s Lot on the west end of town will feature a number of performances from local talent throughout the day. Schedule coming soon!
- Visit our Mistletoe Market under the Burke Park Gazebo filled with local artists and crafters.
- Take a ride on the Polar Express located on Powelton Avenue!
- Keep your eyes peeled for Frozen folks including Olaf, Elsa and Anna!
- Enjoy the sounds of the season on the East Side of town with DJ Loudenclear.
- Strike a pose with your well dressed pup at our Canine Christmas Corner, thanks to To Love A Canine for helping us out!
- Face Painting!
- Letters to Santa! Stop by our letter writing station and type your letter to Santa on a real, old-fashioned Typewriter.
- Keep your eyes peeled for our 10 Foot Tall Toy Soldier!
- The Boy Scouts will be selling wreaths, and the Malvern Moms’ Club will be holding a Bake Sale!
- Hungry? Stop by one of Malvern’s restaurants or eateries, or enjoy one of our visiting food trucks.
- 2 p.m.
- 4:30 p.m.
- The Santa Claus Parade starts promptly at 4:30 PM. The parade route is King Street from Church Avenue to the Gazebo in Burke Park. Line the streets and jingle your bells to greet Jolly Old St. Nick!
- 5 p.m.
- Join us for the Lighting the Burke Park Christmas Tree! Our celebrity helper is Jennaphr Fredrick from Fox 29! We’ll have a musical program courtesy of Malvern Prep and Academy of Notre Dame de Namur. This will all take place in and around the Gazebo.
- 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- The Snow Globe Ballet returns to the Malvern Buttery. Ballet 180 will be performing a sampling of their holiday show, Nutcracker Sweets! Preceding the show, enjoy the amazing performers from UpTown West Chester’s Knauer Performing Arts Center.

- Noon to 8 p.m.
- Our King Street Merchants will be open for business with gifts for everyone on your list. FYI - most shops will be open at 10 a.m. Printed schedules will be available November 20th from our King Street participating merchants and restaurants.
- Free Hot Chocolate at Kimberton Whole Foods!
- Noon to 6 p.m.
- The National Bank of Malvern is teaming up with the Paoli Battlefield, Malvern Historic Society, John Hicks with his train display, and Beam’s School of Music for yet another year of fun for Christmas on King Street. The bank will be handing out apple cider and cookies as we welcome everyone inside our beautiful historical building. While you mix and mingle in the lobby, learn more about the revolutionary history of our town and listen to some holiday carols.
- Noon to 5 p.m.
- Renehan Building Group, 318 East King Street, will host their annual holiday open house with snacks and drinks.
- 4 to 8 p.m.
- First Baptist Church of Malvern, 146 Channing Ave., hosting Children's Crafts, Train Display, and Art Display
- 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Posh, 103 East King Street, will be hosting their holiday party. From 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Jazz Concert at Mauger-Givnish Funeral Home featuring IMPROMPTU. Located at 24 Monument Ave.
- 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Performing in the First Baptist Church of Malvern located at 146 Channing Avenue.
- 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. — Great Valley High School Chamber Singers
- 7:10 p.m. to 7:40 p.m. — Great Valley Symphony Orchestra

- Open late until 8 p.m.
- Continue exploring Malvern, shopping our boutiques and enjoying our eclectic restaurant scene into the evening. Our shops will be open late, till 8, for your unique shopping experience.
