2nd Coronavirus Death Reported In Willistown Township

New data provided Tuesday shows Willistown has had its second coronavirus-related death. Chester County has six deaths total now.

WILLISTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A second death related to the new coronavirus has been reported in Willistown Township.

According to new data released Tuesday, Willistown now has two of Chester County's six coronavirus-related deaths.

The township has 15 of the county's 331 cases.

Willistown had the county's first death. That victim was an 89-year-old man who was hospitalized and had a number of underlying conditions.

His death was announced on March 30.

Below are municipalities that have had deaths and the number of deaths:

  • Willistown Township — 2 deaths
  • Tredyffrin Township — 1 death
  • Honey Brook Borough — 1 death
  • East Fallowland Township — 1 death
  • West Caln Township — 1 death

Details on the new victim were not immediately available as of 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Tuesday's new data shows there have been 2,359 negative tests in Chester County.
