4th Annual Raffles for Ruffs hosted by To Love a Canine Rescue
Join To Love a Canine Rescue on Saturday, April 6th for a fun night of fine food, raffles & a poker tournament!!

To Love a Canine Rescue, PA is a foster-based, all breed rescue, located in Chester County. Made up of volunteers, it is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. Rescuing dogs from high-kill shelters is a never-ending task for them.
As a non-profit organization, they don’t have a regular source of income. So that they can continue to do what they do, they have two major annual fundraising events. The first of 2019 is scheduled for Saturday, April 6.
It’s called “Raffles for Ruffs” and will feature more than 70 baskets filled with beautiful items and thrilling experiences, a Texas Hold’Em poker tournament, and a 50/50 wine pull. A week-long stay in the heart of the French Quarter in New Orleans is being offered as the door prize. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are included in the ticket price. (A cash bar is available for those wishing to have some adult beverages)

2019 marks the fourth annual Raffles for Ruffs. This year, it will be held at the Quality Inn, West Chester and will run from 6:00pm until 10:00pm. Catering will be provided by Pizza Mia of Downingtown.
TLC is made up of a group of local people with big hearts and even bigger dreams. Their motto is “Until they all have a home.” Working with several shelters, they identify dogs who are at the greatest risk of being euthanized due to a lack of space or funding. On any given weekend, they may select as many as 30 dogs at a time.

Once they are pulled from the shelters, each rescued dog stays in the home of a volunteer who works to train them on how to live in a house. TLC has an adoption center but no kennels, so the dogs receive individual attention, training, testing, and monitoring.
Most people don’t realize how much goes into operating a rescue; from transports, to medical care, to promoting and fostering, in addition to lots of behind the scenes duties. Each of the steps, be it large or small, requires funding to be accomplished.
Tickets are still available. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the To Love a Canine website at www.tlcrescuepa.com/rafflesforruffs. General entry (includes 20 raffle tickets, food and non-alcoholic beverages and one door prize entry) is $40 per person. An additional $40 gets you into the poker tournament. Additional raffle tickets will be available to purchase throughout the evening.
