Annual Kids Fest Coming To Great Valley Middle School Saturday

MALVERN, PA – State Rep. Duane Milne is gearing up to host his annual Kids Fest extravaganza this weekend in Malvern.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Great Valley Middle School, on Saturday, June 16.

Attendees can enjoy hands-on activities and get information for children presented in enjoyable, kid-friendly style by government and nonprofit organizations.

The day will feature a video game station, electric car rides, sand art, a US Army Reserve rock wall, bungee jump, spin art tables, visitors from the Elmwood Park Zoo, American Helicopter Museum’s “Stubby” Copter, inflatable fun stations, activities by the Chester County Art Association, a magician and ventriloquist, Sweet and Sassy & Splendor Salon Hair Designs, Chase from Paw Patrol, Scrubby the Red Cross Polar Bear, a SEPTA Key Card Reserve Vehicle, a mobile veterinarian clinic, Valley Forge Signal Seekers, a golf game, fingerprinting by the Pennsylvania State Police, face painting, balloon animals, and more.

"As your representative and an educator, I love watching families having so much fun and learning from the local institutions serving them," Milne said. "I enjoy giving our families a great time in a cheerful setting with community organizations that are looking out for their interests."

Food vendors at the event include the Desmond Hotel, On the Border, Great Valley Grill, Mompops, Utz Potato Chips, Pepsi, Herr’s snacks, LaLa Sweet Treats, Pepperidge Farms, Wawa Drinks, Wegman’s, Giant Food Stores, Acme Food Markets, and pizza by Seasons, Malvern, Venice and Mario’s.

Among the major civic themes covered at the event will be environmental stewardship and outdoor recreation.

Some of the region’s great emergency response institutions will also be on hand for safety education but also to provide entertaining demonstrations. Those include a Jefferson Hospital helicopter landing and Malvern Fire Company’s antique fire truck rides.
