Devon Church to Host "Time of Prayer" on Martin Luther King Weekend
Potluck Meal and Fellowship Will Follow Noon Prayer Service

A group of churches in the Malvern-Paoli-Devon-Wayne area will come together on Martin Luther King weekend in a Time of Prayer for racial reconciliation in our communities and nation.

Mount Zion AME Church, 380 North Fairfield Road, Devon, will host the event at noon on Saturday, Jan. 19. The Time of Prayer service will be followed by a potluck meal and fellowship at the church.

"We join together with the firm understanding that to promote positive change in our congregations, as well as in our communities, we need first of all to bow before God," said Pastor April Martin, of Mount Zion AME Church.

Everyone everywhere is invited to join the event from noon to 1:30 p.m. Bringing a potluck meal item is encouraged but not necessary. The participating churches will provide a sufficient number of hoagies to cover any need.
