Brightview Devon Hosting Holiday Drive-By Event

A Devon senior living community has issued and an invite to drive-by, enjoy the lights, carols, and cheer.

MALVERN, PA — Indoor caroling groups are not visiting senior communities as usual in 2020, but Brightview Devon is hosting a drive-by holiday event to heighten cheer this year.

The senior living community at 301 E. Conestoga Road is putting on a holiday light event for residents' loved ones and community at-large on Dec. 14 from 5-6 p.m.

Brightview Devon said it is thrilled to host its first-ever Holiday Drive-By.

"It's no secret that 2020 has been difficult for many reasons. This drive-by will not only allow residents' families to add some safe holiday normalcy back into their lives, but it is also a treat for our residents. They can’t wait to see how the lawn is transformed and kick off the holidays waving to their loved ones," said Adam Rice, Executive Director at Brightview.

The Brightview Devon community will host an outdoor holiday-themed event featuring carolers, a horse-drawn carriage, lights and more. Those attending will be instructed to slowly drive by the scene and take in the festive view.

"Throughout 2020, we've seen and hosted many of our own drive-by events so our residents can feel cherished and special. With this holiday drive-by, we're hoping to provide our residents' loved ones with a wholesome, festive experience in a rather unusual year," Rice said.

Hot cocoa will be complimentary, served socially-distant with masks, and can be enjoyed in attendees' respective vehicles, Brightview Devon said.

"Our goal is to offer a safe experience where everyone can enjoy the lights and feel the spirit of the season—brought to them by their friends at Brightview," said Rice.
