Charlestown Hosting Spotted Lanternfly Workshop Ahead Of Summer
With warm weather on the way, Charlestown Township is hosting an info session for residents to teach them about the invasive bug.

CHARLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — As warmer weather looms, officials in Charlestown Township want to keep the public in the know about the invasive and dangerous spotter lanternfly.
Charlestown Township's Environmental Advisory Committee is hosting a public meeting from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 29 in Room 154 at the Great Valley Middle School that will teach attendees all about the bug.
Meagan Hopkins-Doerr, Coordinator of the Penn State Extension's Master Watershed Steward and Master Gardner Programs for Chester and Delaware Counties, will lead the session.

Attendees will learn how to recognize them, to understand their lifecycle, and what you can do to eliminate and control them.
Refreshments will be provided, but attendees are asked to bring their own reusable bottle.
