Chesterbrook Academy Celebrates Earth Day with Ladybug Release
Students celebrated Earth Day by releasing 3,000 ladybugs in their schoolyard to help local vegetation
Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Malvern recently celebrated Earth Day and taking care of the planet by releasing 3,000 ladybugs throughout their schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. In addition to the ladybug release, students created art projects inspired by the Earth.
Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees and shrubs. Chesterbrook Academy teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
