East Whiteland Private School Teachers Charged With Child Abuse

Two teachers at Chesterbrook Academy in East Whiteland are being charged with endangering the welfare of children and simple assault.

EAST WHITELAND, PA — Two workers at an East Whiteland private academy have been charged with child abuse related crimes and another is being investigated, according to court records and reports.

Two Chesterbrook Academy teachers have been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and simple assault.

The accused are Jessica Kochanski, 32, of Havertown, and Alison Soria, 39, of Jenkintown, court records show.

According to Action News, the two were charged after East Whiteland Police were tipped off by a former employee.

The outlet reports a parent who claims their child was a victim of abuse said 10 families were contacted as potential victims.

Kochanski and Soria are no longer employed at the academy, but police were notified of a third teacher who is being investigated for abuse, according to Action News.

Kochanski is slated for a Dec. 6 preliminary hearing, while Soria's hearing is scheduled for Nov. 12.

Both were released without bail conditions, court documents show.
