Emergency Teams Called To 3:30 a.m. Newtown Sq. Fire Saturday
Newtown Square and Berwyn fire companies were among the responders in the wee hours of Saturday.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — The wee hours of Saturday morning were working hours for area firefighters.
Newtown Square Fire Company and others responded early Saturday morning to an office building fire on S. Newtown Street Road. The Berwyn Fire Company's crew of Tower 2 was called in around 3:30 a.m. and reported being on the scene for 90 minutes.
Newtown Square Fire Department said there were no injuries. The fire was contained to one office, with smoke and water damage to surrounding offices, the company reported.

Other assistance came from Broomhall Fire Company, Rosetree Fire Company, Media Fire Hook and Ladder #1 Station 23, Garettford-Drexel Hill Fire Company, Marple Township Ambulance Corp., Riddle EMS, and Newtown Township Police.
Newtown Square Fire Company expressed "special thanks to ACME Newtown Square and Gentile's Produce Market for the donations of drinks and fruit to rehydrate the firefighters at the scene."
