Immaculata players will compete individually and as a team in popular games such as Overwatch, League of Legends, Rocket League, Madden Football, Super Smash Brothers, and FIFA Soccer.
"I am so excited to offer our students the opportunity to engage in a sport they truly love. With the addition of Esports to Immaculata’s competitive athletic programs, students will develop teamwork, communication, strategic thinking and leadership skills in all the same ways that traditional sports do—and then some," explains Patricia Canterino ’92, ’12 M.A., vice president for Student Development and Undergraduate Admissions.
Canterino also said that a director of Esports will join the athletic department, along with a coaching staff for the new sport.
