Great Valley District Earns A+ And Ranks High In Chester County

Great Valley School District was ranked third in Chester County by data firm Niche, earning an A+ grade.

MALVERN, PA — Great Valley School District earned an A+ rating and was ranked the number three school district in Chester County by data firm Niche.

Data compiler Niche today released its ranking for the best Pennsylvania school districts for the 2020-2021 school year.

Great Valley School District earned a A+ ratings in the specific areas of Academics, Teachers, and College Prep. It got an A in Health and Safety and a B+ in Clubs and Activities, and a B in Diversity.

Great Valley School District has 4,280 students in grades K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 14 to 1. According to state test scores, 69 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 84 percent in reading.

  • 1st, Tredyffrin-Easttown School District
  • 2nd, Unionville-Chaddsford School District
  • 3rd, Great Valley School District
  • 4th, Downingtown Area School District
  • 5th, West Chester Area School District.

Earning ratings of A are:

  • 6th, Owen J. Roberts School District
  • 7th, Phoenixville Area School District.
