Great Vally High School Wins State Academic Competition
The daylong competition was held on April 30 and included 18 of the state's top high school teams competing for the title of State Champion.

MALVERN, PA – Great Valley High School recently won first place in the virtual PA State Academic Competition.
The daylong competition was held on April 30 and included 18 of the state's top high school teams competing for the title of PA State Champion.
Great Valley High School took first place with 110 points, beating out Manhein Township High School, Hempfield High School and Kiski Area High School in the final round. The team was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.

“I am lucky that this group worked diligently on their own in the form of studying within their categories from old notes, questions and other means," said Bernard McCauley, Great Valley High School varsity team coach, in a prepared statement. "They also met together to review current events and participate in some group practices for teamwork in the days leading up to the State Academic Competition event.”
