Zook Barn Is a Switzer Barn
How Zook acquired it is probably an interesting story, but the Library of Congress documentation doesn't share the nitty gritty details.
Last week's historical photo challenge was supposed to be a bit of a noodle-scratcher, but the correct answer was delivered fairly quickly by Eric Lewis.
The barn in the photo is Zook Barn, which was located on the south side of King Road, a half-mile west of Route 352, near Villa Maria Academy Lower School. No remnants of the barn are visible from the road. The William Henry Apartments are the closest structures to the location described, which is why they're pictured above.Â
The Library of Congress, whence the historical photo came, provides a historical narrative (PDF) identifying the barn as a Switzer barn. The narrative dryly details its timeline and construction but glosses over the most interesting tidbit (emphasis added):

Richard Eavenson sold tract 1747 to Richard Baratt, whose daughter Edith married Joseph Burnett, who was sold out by sheriff 1768 and land came into possession of John Zug (Zook) 1769.
According to easternbarns.net, Switzer barns were commonly built between 1780 and 1810:
Switzers have asymmetrical roofs, where the distinctive appendage-like fore-bay at the barn front creates the roof asymmetry.
A tip of the hat to Eric Lewis for his correct answer and Paula K, who supplied some background:

if its the Zook barn, thats on Immaculata property, west of wm henry, not east. it was tucked down away from the road on the south side of king. When we were taking the pictures for the township files, in the 1980's it was in very sad shape...not nearly as good as this photo. This is probably the Library of Congress collection from the 1930's era? Not too many log barns in this area, most were fieldstone.
