Malvern Bancorp Helps Donate $100K To CHOP

PAOLI, PA — Malvern Bancorp Inc. has joined the fight against childhood cancer by making a sizable donation to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Malvern Bancorp, parent company of Malvern Bank, National Association, recently joined Curing Kids Cancer in a $100,000 check presentation to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

Grainne Owen, founder of Curing Kids Cancer, presented a check for $100,000 to Dr. Stephan A. Grupp, MD, PhD, Director of the Cancer Immunotherapy Program at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Malvern Bank, National Association, sponsor’s Curing Kids Cancer’s annual fundraising events and has provided grants to the organization through the Bank’s charitable foundation.

Owen and her husband, Clay, founded Curing Kids Cancer in 2005 after losing their nine-year-old son, Killian, to Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.

Since its inception, the organization has raised more than $15 million and has funded projects at 39 medical facilities in 25 states.
