Malvern-Based In Vitro Company Expansion To Add Dozens Of Jobs

Fujirebio Diagnostics, Inc., a manufacturer of in vitro diagnostics in Malvern, will expand its operations in southeastern Pennsylvania.

MALVERN, PA — A Malvern-based in vitro company is expanding, adding dozens of jobs and retaining about 350 existing jobs.

Gov. Tom Wolf announced Friday that Fujirebio Diagnostics, Inc., a manufacturer of in vitro diagnostics in Malvern, will expand its operations in southeastern Pennsylvania.

In its expansion, the company will creat 41 new jobs and retain more than 348.

Fujirebio will expand its existing location in Malvern and will reconfigure a significant portion of that space to accommodate additional manufacturin.

The expansion will support the creation of 41 new jobs in positions for lab technicians, manufacturing engineers, process design scientists and management.

Fujirebio has pledged to invest $7.74 million into the project.

The company got a funding proposal from the Department of Community and Economic Development for a $185,000 Pennsylvania First grant and $123,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits to be distributed upon creation of the new jobs.

The project was coordinated by the Wolf's Action Team, which is an experienced group of economic development professionals who report directly to the governor and work with businesses that are considering locating or expanding in Pennsylvania.

Fujirebio Diagnostics is owned by Fujirebio Holdings, Inc., which is owned by Japan-based Miraca Holdings, Inc., and develops and manufactures IVD test kits primarily used for cancer treatments.
