Malvern Borough Collecting Bulk Trash Items Oct 12

MALVERN, PA — Malvern Borough's Bulk Trash day is coming up soon, and we have details you need to make the most of the collection day.

Bulk Trash Day will be held Saturday, Oct. 12.

Residents looking to have bulk items collected — see a list of acceptable items below — should have said items on the curbside by the evening of Friday, Oct. 11.

Collection trucks will not be able to wait for residents to bring the items to the curbside or be able to back track to areas already covered.

A requirement for collectible items is that two people must be able to lift the items into the collection vehicle. The items should be under 4 feet long.

Acceptable items collected include:

• Bed Frames
• Box Springs
• Mattresses
• Dressers
• End Tables
• Sofas
• Chairs
• Tables
• Hot Water Heaters
• Washers,
• Dryers
• Stoves
• Dishwashers
• Carpet Cut Into 4′ Sections, Rolled And Taped Or Tied,
• Toilets
• Grills (No Propane Tanks)
• Glass items must be removed or cardboard taped over the glass so that it doesn’t shatter.
• Freon appliances include refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers; doors to bulk items should be removed.
• Household furniture and appliances without freon, certification of freon removal must be visible and completed by a certified technician.

Non-acceptable items collected include:

• Liquid paint other hazardous wastes
• Tires
• Car parts
• Construction debris
• Piles of small items that could have been boxed or bagged
• TVs
• Electronics
• Microwaves
• Block
• Brick
• Stone
• Dirt
• Sealed containers.

No plant waste or yard compost will be removed during bulk collection.
