That evening, St. Francis will also host a display of Nativity Scenes, including international Nativities donated to St. Francis by local artist and collector Joan LePard.

The event follows Mary and Joseph on a musical journey through the streets of the city looking for a place suitable for Jesus' birth. Rejected three times, the wandering couple is finally welcomed and those gathered on the journey celebrate with feasting and fellowship.

Traditionally celebrated in Latin America and by Hispanics in the United States, Las Posadas is Spanish for lodging or accommodation.
