Malvern 'Code Ninjas' Celebrate Gaming, STEM In Curriculum
Malvern kids ages 5-14 can take advantage of the Code Ninja center and learn how to code in a fun, safe and social learning environment.

MALVERN, PA – A new learning center in Malvern is aiming to teach children computer coding and problem solving skills while building video games.
Code Ninjas, which has opened at 215 Lancaster Avenue, is owned and operated by Nam Phan, a data analyst and entrepreneur, and his brother-in-law Tony Dang. They plan to open a second location in the area within the next year.
“Everything these days revolves around coding and we truly believe Code Ninjas can help provide children the skills for future employment,” Phan said in a prepared statement. “The kids of the Malvern area are going to love being engaged with the Code Ninjas curriculum and we can’t wait to get kids in our center playing video games, having fun and learning something valuable.”

Code Ninjas features a gamed-based curriculum made up of nine belts, just like martial arts. The curriculum is self-paced but not self-taught. Kids receive immediate help and encouragement from Code Senseis and fellow students as they advance from white belt to black belt.

The program includes "Belt-up" celebrations, where students receive color-coded wristbands to mark their graduation to the next level. By the time a child finishes the program, they will publish an app in an app store.
To ensure the safety of all Ninjas, parents, and Senseis, Code Ninjas is taking extra precautions. The center will be thoroughly cleaned routinely, on a daily basis by employees. Devices, tables, door handles, bathrooms, and other frequently-used surfaces will be sanitized throughout the day. In addition, student workspaces and equipment, including computers, monitors, and mice will be cleaned between every student session.
