Malvern Council Passes Budget, Loses President

The final council meeting of 2013 was a big one.

The Malvern Borough Council passed a new 2014 budget on Tuesday night, but not before council president Van Sciver stepped down from his position, according to a story on Main Line Media.

Linda Stein’s story recounts the meeting, in which the council passed a $4 million budget that will see the sewer fees decreased by about $15 and increased the millage rate to 4.4.

More juicy, however, is the story about how the council president stepped down after accusations of “being untrustworthy” and how the Eastside Flats development continues to be a sore spot for some residents.
