Malvern Offering Free Mental Health First Aid Training
The free course will teach attendees to identify risk factors and warning signs of mental health distress.
MALVERN, PA — First aid and CPR are great skills to know and can help save lives in medical emergencies. But Malvern officials are offering training to help the public handle mental health emergencies.
From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, Malvern Borough Police will host an Adult Mental Health First Aid training at the Malvern Borough Hall. Sign ins begin at 7:45 a.m.
The free course will teach attendees to identify risk factors and warning signs of mental health distress.

They will also practice a Mental Health First Aid action plan and learn about local mental health and substance abuse resources during the course.
Attendees will earn a three-year Mental Health First Aid certification and get a manual on Mental Health First Aid.
