Malvern Reopens Basketball Courts, Other Facilities Still Closed

If you're using a basketball court, make sure you're not sick, limit 10 people on the court at one time, and try to minimize contact.

MALVERN, PA — All basketball courts in Malvern are open again, but with limitations. Some other borough facilities are still closed, however.

Effect Friday, the borough's basketball courts are open for public use.

Those who are using the courts are urged to only have 10 people on them at any time and to try to minimize contact by social distancing.

Spectators and those feeling ill should not be on the courts.

Players are encouraged to carry hand sanitizer and disinfect their hands regularly while playing.

These regulations apply to the basketball courts at Herzak Memorial Park and Quann Memorial Park.

While courts are open for use, some facilities are still closed. These are:

  • all playground equipment and the gazebo at Burke Park;
  • all playground equipment at Rubino Park;
  • the baseball field at Quann Park;
  • and the battlefield area at the Paoli Battlefield Park.

Parks are open walking and running, but congregating in parks is not allowed yet. Trails in the Randolph Woods Nature Preserve and Paoli Battlefield Park are open

The tennis courts at the Paoli Memorial Grounds are open. The Malvern Park & Civic Association has established guidelines for the use of the tennis courts. Members should contact Bill Huffman of the Malvern Park & Civic Association at wfhuffman@yahoo.com for more information.
