Malvern Restaurants Weather Pandemic — And Road Work

The Brick & Brew has lots of outdoor deck space but other Malvern eateries are not as lucky.

MALVERN, PA — King Street in Malvern was being repaved last week, so parking was forbidden in the work zone, under threat of towing. The Flying Pig was blockaded except to brave pedestrians, but in the other direction, parking was plentiful and outdoor dining wide open.

Malvern's Brick and Brew has been lucky both in terms of road repair and pandemic. The outer deck that surrounds the upper dining room provided ready-made space when outside dining became a necessity.

Haley, a server at the Brick and Brew Gastropub, said lunch business has been steady all through the summer and into early September, and she said, "dinner is really good."
