When did you go into business?
2007
How did you come up with the name?
“We believe in being personally accessible to customers and doing what is right for clients; that type of truly personalized service is why the Renehan name is on our business.”
Why start a business here?
“Malvern is a great place to raise your family and we felt it important to invest in an area where we could build a business and improve and grow the community at the same time.”
Briefly, what business are you in?
“Renehan Building Group specializes in custom home building, additions and remodeling.”
What’s the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?
“The most difficult challenge is the balance between investing in the community and growing the business. In 2007, when the housing market crashed, we surged forward and launched Renehan Building Group, with a commitment to both our customers and the community. It was a difficult decision, but it was the right one. Community and business go hand in hand and Renehan Building Group has done a great job, I believe, in balancing the two.”
What’s been your favorite moment/proudest achievement since opening?
“We are honored to have received multiple Synergy and Pyramid awards from the Home Builders Associations of Chester, Delaware, Bucks and Montgomery counties including Custom Home of the Year, Best Single Home of the Year and Best Residential Renovation and were honored to receive Small Business of the Year from the Great Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce. However, our proudest moments are when we deliver a new home to a client.”
How does your business give back/get involved in the community?
“We are proud that we had the ability to donate and build the Great Valley Football League concession stand, the Great Valley Little League press box and the Great Valley High School baseball dugouts. We are also very involved in the Great Valley Community Organization, and are the first Partner in Education with the Foundation at Great Valley. You will also see us at various community events as a sponsor such as Malvern Victorian Christmas and the Youth Mentoring Partnership Color Run.”
