Malvern Teen Substance Abuse Discussion Rescheduled

MALVERN, PA — After harsh winter weather led to the Great Valley School District canceling after-school activities on Wednesday, Jan. 30, the district and Be a Part of the Conversation rescheduled the special event on teenagers and substance abuse.

The discussion will now be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, the district and Be a Part of the Conversation will hold the talk, "A Parents' Guide to Teenagers & Substance Use," at Great Valley High School.

Topics will include the most effective ways to keep our kids from using alcohol or other drugs and signs that they might be drinking or trying drugs.

Attendees will learn how as parents they can help to shape kids' choices and behaviors, and raise successful young adults.

Be a Part of the Conversation is a 501(c)3 non-profit collaboration of community leaders,

students, school district representatives, and families who believe that having meaningful, inclusive conversations will support all young people in their efforts to develop healthy coping skills and access support whenever there is a need.
