Malvern's Christmas On King: What You Need To Know

A new holiday event is coming to Malvern this season. See what to expect at the new "Christmas on King" event on Dec. 1.

MALVERN, PA – A new Christmas event is coming to Malvern this holiday season and even Santa Claus will be there, arriving by parade.

Christmas on King will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 on King Street.

But most importantly, Santa will arrive by parade beginning at 5 p.m., moving along on King Street from Ruthland Avenue to the gazebo in Burke Park.

After Santa arrives, the Christmas tree in Burke Park will be lit, with an accompanying musical program by Malvern Prep and Academy of Notre Dame de Namur.

The event kicks off with local musical acts, dancers, and more at the Main Stage at Gallagher's lot.

A Christmas Cheer Fest Cocktail Lounge will be set up in the municipal parking lot next to Wolfe’s Baldwin Brass. Christopher’s host the cocktail lounge.

King Street businesses will be open to help attendees find the perfect gifts for friends and family. Most businesses will open at 10 a.m.

The Malvern Trolley will be making rounds, with three stops along King Street to help you reach your destination.

Malvern Fire Company will host the Mistletoe Market, which will be filled with local artists and crafters.

The Polar Express will be giving rides on Powelton Avenue.

Dow owners can win a Christmas treats for their pups by dressing up dogs at the Canine Christmas Corner.

Pony Rides will be offered Burke Park and kids get to ride for free. The park will also host a Petting Zoo with farm animals kids can meet.

A Disney bounce house will be set up at the east end of King Street for the kids to enjoy.

Many other activities will be ongoing on King Street, including games and crafts Center on Central is hosting a special craft event, too.

An ice carver will be creating a sculpture in the National Bank of Malvern’s parking lot.

Local restaurants, eateries, and food trucks will be offering bites and beverages to keep attendees fed and quenched.


Other events:

From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Snow Globe Ballet will be at the Malvern Buttery for two performances.

Renehan Building Group, at 318 E. King St., will host their annual holiday open house with wine, beer and food, as well as an old-fashioned trolley with hot chocolate and cookies from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Knots & Weaves, 218 East King Street, hosts The Bad Habit Band featuring Malvern’s own Zach Brown. There will also be a photo booth, sips, and nibbles.

A jazz concert will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mauger-Givnish Funeral Home, 24 Monument Ave.

The Great Valley High School Chamber Singers and Symphony Orchestra will be performing in the First Baptist Church of Malvern located at 146 Channing Avenue. Times for these performances will be announced soon.
