Marathoner Keith Straw Finishes Before Explosions

Among the runners at the Boston Marathon Monday was Keith Straw, a Malvern resident who is well-known for his unconventional racing outfit—a pink tutu.

We reached out to Straw to see if he was OK and if he had thoughts we could deliver to his hometown. He responded Tuesday afternoon:

I was lucky to be through the finish area before the sad events unfolded. Boston is my favorite of all the marathons. It has history, it has style, and it has the best crowds in the business. Generations of families urging on the runners every step of the way as we pass through their town, on their Patriots day. My heart goes out to that great city.
