KING OF PRUSSIA, PA -- Mikey McGinley passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 3, 2016. He was 22. Mikey was a resident of King of Prussia, PA, and a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia.

He was a graduate of Malvern Prep, Class of 2011, where he swam and played water polo and rugby. He was presently a student at Drexel University. Mikey previously swam for the Upper Merion Marlins, Picket Post and Wayne Swim & Tennis.

He became a certified scuba driver at the age of 10. He enjoyed playing catch, going to E.D.M. concerts, anything sports related and spending time with his family and friends. Most of all, he loved spending his days at the beach working on the Sea Isle City and Avalon Beach Patrols.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 5, 1993, he was a beloved son of John M. and Patricia A. (Hillegass) McGinley. Also surviving is a brother, John F. McGinley and a sister, Maura K. McGinley, both of King of Prussia, PA; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth (Kurian) McGinley; maternal grandfather, Francis T. Hillegass and his wife, Ann.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, John P. McGinley; and maternal grandmother, Elizabeth (Witz) Hillegass.
