Pikeland Road Bridge Closed Due To Crash Damage
PennDOT said the bridge in Charlestown township is closed untll further notice due to damage sustained in a crash that occurred Wednesday.
CHARLESTOWN, PA — The Pikeland Road bridge over a branch of Pickering Creek in Charlestown Township is closed indefinitely, PennDOT said.
The bridge is closed due to damage sustained during a crash Wednesday.
During the closure, Pikeland Road will be closed.

Drivers will be detoured between Hollow Road and Ashwood Lane/Highlands Lane until PennDOT bridge engineers can examine the structural damage and develop a plan to rehabilitate the structure.
Motorists are advised to follow the detour of Hollow Road, Charlestown Road and Church Road or use Hollow Road, Yellow Springs Road and Merlin Road.
