Rita's Cancels 1st Day Of Spring Water Ice Giveaway
The annual first day of spring giveaway has been canceled in an effort to avoid large group gatherings, Rita's said.

PENNSYLVANIA — The annual tradition of free water ice at Rita's Italian Ice locations on the first day of spring has been canceled.
Rita's said recently that due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus, known as COVID-19, it has canceled its annual giveaway on the first day of spring, which this year is March 19.
"Every March, Rita's First Day of Spring Free Ice Giveaway brings together thousands of guests for one-of-a-kind treats and a free Italian Ice. It's our favorite day of the year, and one that has become a treasured tradition. However, the health of our community and guests is our highest priority, so we are postponing this celebration as a precautionary move."
