On June 1st the Great Valley School District will adopt its budget for 2020/2021. They are considering raising our taxes 2.6% while they still have cash reserves of over $25 million. The COVID 19 crisis is unlike anything we have seen before including the last financial crisis a decade ago. With unprecedented unemployment and the closure of most businesses, many of which may not reopen this is not the time for a tax increase. If you want to make a difference send a note to our school board and ask them not to raise your taxes and instead cut expenses and use the $25 Million cash reserves which came from previous taxes. Tell them how this crisis is impacting your family.
