Power Still Out For Thousands In Malvern Area

MALVERN, PA — Thousands of PECO customers in the Malvern area are still without power late Thursday night and numerous roads are closed due to storms that hit the Philadelphia region Wednesday.

PECO's outage map shows more than 6,000 Malvern, Charlestown, East Whiteland, and Willistown customers do not have power as of Thursday.

Below are numbers for each municipality as of about 11:25 p.m. Thursday:

• Malvern — 1,128 customers affected by six outages
• Willistown — 1,709 customers affected by 38 outages
• Charlestown — 2,003 customers affected by 25 outages
• East Whiteland — 1,320 customers affected by 21 outages

There is no word on when power will be fully restored.

The following roads in the area are impacted by storm damage as of 12:40 p.m. Thursday:

• Warren Avenue between Davis Road and Providence Road - Tree in wires
• Dutton Mill Road between Jorrocks Lane and Chowning Drive -Trees in wires
• Green Lane between Sugartown Road and Dutton Mill Road - Tree in wires
• Line Road between Paoli Pike and Forest Lane – Tree in wire
• Jaffrey Road between Warren Avenue and Sugarbrook Lane -Trees in wires
• Boot Road between Roselawn Lane and Line Road – Tree in wires
• Spring Road between Sugartown Road and Hilldale Drive – Tree in wires
• Marlborough Road between Providence Road and Goshen Road – Tree in wires
• Paoli Pike between Warren Avenue and Devon Road – Emergency vehicles can pass
• Colonial Way between Post Road and Grubb Road – Tree in wires
• Mill Road between Grubb Road and Greenstone Way – People cannot get out of the road
• Grubb Road between Treble Lane and Jaffrey Road – Wires and tree across road
• Davis Road between Hillview Road and Grubb Road – Tree in wires
