Power Still Out For Thousands In Malvern Area

More than 6,000 PECO customers in Malvern, East Whiteland, Charlestown, and Willistown are still without power late Thursday night.

MALVERN, PA — Thousands of PECO customers in the Malvern area are still without power late Thursday night and numerous roads are closed due to storms that hit the Philadelphia region Wednesday.

PECO's outage map shows more than 6,000 Malvern, Charlestown, East Whiteland, and Willistown customers do not have power as of Thursday.

Below are numbers for each municipality as of about 11:25 p.m. Thursday:

  • Malvern — 1,128 customers affected by six outages
  • Willistown — 1,709 customers affected by 38 outages
  • Charlestown — 2,003 customers affected by 25 outages
  • East Whiteland — 1,320 customers affected by 21 outages

There is no word on when power will be fully restored.
