Willistown Country Fair Postponed Due To Heat

Tuesday's fair has been pushed back to a later date due to excessive heat in the area, officials said.

WILLISTOWN, PA — The Willistown Country Fair has been postponed due to an excessive heat warning.

According to the township, the event — initially scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20 in Greentree Park — has been moved to a later date on account of predicted high temperatures Tuesday.

Now, officials said, the event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 in the park.

Attendees will enjoy live bluegrass by Raven Hill, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, and interactive local community stations.

Scoops 'n Smiles Ice Cream and the Pizza Wagon will be on hand to keep fair goers satisfied.

At 6:30 p.m., the GO WilMa! participant prize drawing will be held.

The event is free to attend, but those who are coming can contribute by bringing non-perishable food items for donation to the Chester County Food Bank.

Pets should be left at home.

In the event of more inclement weather, the fair will be held Friday, Aug. 23.
