Broomall AC Moore Closing Among Nationwide Shuttering
While A.C. Moore in Broomall is closing, it could get a new life as its parents company transitions dozens of locations into Michaels.

BROOMALL, PA — As retail business struggles, the Broomall A.C. Moore store is closing along with all other A.C. Moore locations across the United States.
Nicole Crafts, A.C. Moore parent company, said Monday that it has decided to "exit its retail operations" by closing all A.C. Moore stores "as part of a broader strategic plan."
The Broomall store, located at 2940 Springfield Road, is closing due to the corporate plan.

However, the Broomall store could get a new lease on life.
Under the transition, as many as 40 A.C. Moore stores will become Michaels. The locations to become Michaels have not yet been named.

Closing plans for specific A.C. Moore locations will be released in the upcoming weeks.
Online orders ceased as of Monday. Previously placed orders will ship, the company said.
The closures are due to "headwinds facing many retailers," said Anthony Piperno, A.C. Moore CEO.
The first A.C. Moore store opened in New Jersey in 1985.
