Burglar Gets Into Delco Home As Teen Attended Virtual School

A 15-year-old was attending virtual school in his Aston home Thursday when a man broke into the home, police said.

ASTON, PA — A teenager attending school virtually caught a burglar in their Delaware County home Thursday, according to police.

Aston Police said the incident occurred at about 1 p.m. at a home on the 100 block of Nottingham Court in Aston Township.

A 15-year-old told police that while they were making lunch in their home's kitchen, they saw a man at the home's sliding back door, police said.

A short while later, the man came into the home through the front door, police said.

Police said nothing was taken and the teen was not hurt.

The teen said they saw the man walking in the area as early as 10:30 a.m.

The man was described as white and wearing a black baseball cap with a logo on the front, a black hooded flannel shirt, a mask, and sunglasses.

He was last seen on Nottingham Court heading towards Cork Lane.

A Police K9 unit searched the area but did not find the suspect.
