MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — PennDOT announced Wednesday that a Marple Township road will be closed weekdays for three weeks.

According to PennDOT, Aqua Pennsylvania is planning to close Cedar Grove Road starting Monday next week.

The closure will be in place weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through April 9, PennDOT said.

The affected portion of Cedar Grove Road is between Sproul Road/Route 320 and Parke Lane.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Sproul Road/Route 320, Paxon Hollow Road, Palmers Mill Road, Newtown Street Road/Route 252 and Cedar Grove Road.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
